Fall is my favorite season. I like the crispness in the cool air. I like the scents of the seasons that comes from the kitchen or candles, such as pumpkin spice or cinnamon apples. I enjoy the rich hues that the leaves take on just before fluttering to the ground.
For people living in Gibsons, BC, there is also a slight shift from the “tourism season” to the more laidback coastal feeling we all love and adore. While the summer brings a lot of outdoor music and fun festivals, fall introduces the “cozy” events, such as poetry readings or art crawls through the local studios.
It’s a bit more about “gathering together” and a bit less of “going out and doing something.”
To that end, here are just a few of my fall favourites:
Gibsons Fall Faire (Thanksgiving Weekend)
A fun event with fall harvest vegetables, pies, bake sale, and crafts of all disciplines at the Quality Farm & Garden Greenhouse, 325 Pratt Road in Gibsons.
